Elspeth Wilkes

Born in Leigh-on-sea, Essex, Elspeth has performed at venues including the Royal Opera House; Royal Albert Hall; Savoy Theatre; St John’s Smith Square; St Martin-in-the-Fields and the Italian Cultural Institute as well as performing recitals in Greece, Turkey, Portugal, France and South Africa.
Elspeth has performed at many festivals including the prestigious Ravenna music festival, Italy and the Dublin Theatre Festival where she won the ‘Oscar’ award for outstanding performance for her playing on Francis Bacon Opera. She has worked with BBC Wales, Royal Ballet, Royal Shakespeare Company, Lesley Garrett and Southbank Sinfonia amongst others. Elspeth has also performed extensively for the corporate market including playing at the ATP tennis championships in Battersea, Athena Women’s Business network lunches, the Marina Dalglish Breast Cancer charity annual ball and has played regularly at the Institute of Directors, the V&A Museum and the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane. Elspeth is also a regular pianist for the charities Royal Variety, Lost Chord and Music in Hospitals and is a member of the Bridgetower ensemble who regularly perform premieres of contemporary works.
In her spare time, Elspeth enjoys swimming, dancing and watching all sports and is also a keen quizzer, having appeared on The Chase, The Weakest Link, Countdown and Mastermind!
