She has delighted audiences across the UK and Europe with roles such as the title roles in The Merry Widow and Alfonso und Estrella; Frasquita (Carmen), Elettra (Idomeneo), First Lady (Die Zauberflöte) and Giannetta (L’elisir d’amore) with Opéra de Baugé, France; Barbarina (The Marriage of Figaro) and Papagena (The Magic Flute) with English Touring Opera and Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), Mimì (La Bohème), and Cio-Cio San (Madama Butterfly) at the King’s Head Theatre, London.

Stephanie also recorded the role of Second Lady in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte for BBC Radio 3 with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, conducted by Charles Hazlewood.

Stephanie’s voice shines just as brightly on the concert platform. A frequent soprano soloist, she has performed a plethora of oratorios, including Mozart’s and Fauré’s Requiem, Mendelssohn’s Hear My Prayer, Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, Vaughan William’s Sea Symphony, and Handel’s Messiah, with highlights including her solo debuts at Cadogan Hall and the Royal Festival Hall to enthusiastic acclaim. (“… Stephanie Edwards, the soprano soloist, was outstanding, with floated high notes riding with ease over brass, strings, percussion and choir.” The Independent)

A seasoned international entertainer, Stephanie has enchanted audiences for over a decade as part of the Thursford Christmas Spectacular and continues to tour the world as a featured classical artist on P&O Cruises and Fred Olsen Cruise Lines. Whether singing solo, in soprano-piano recital or alongside a tenor in sparkling duo performances, Stephanie delivers every note with grace, charisma and polish.
With a repertoire that seamlessly weaves operatic arias, art song, musical theatre and classical crossover, Stephanie Edwards offers more than a recital – she offers an experience. Expect laughter, stories, elegance and unforgettable music from a voice that glows with warmth and brilliance.

“Stephanie Edwards in Estrella gives a beautiful vocal and scenic presence to her character by an amber tone and a medium and grave register of rare beauty.”

“Performing in such a space, where no detail goes unnoticed, upped the pressure for the performers. Soprano Stephanie Edwards gracefully excels in her role as Madam Butterfly. She grows from the 15-year-old bubble gum pink-clad young Butterfly, to a drained mother of-one. In the scene when she receives the pain-laden letter that her beloved Pinkerton, played by Arthur Swan, will not be returning to her, she manages to communicate the agony that every woman who has experienced heartbreak will know. She earns the audience’s sympathy with her elegant yet desperate delivery of ‘Two Things I Could Do’, and carries it on her journey as a scorned woman. She moves from joy mixed with pain to rage and delusion, and ends in a deep sadness.”

“She is the best performer by far and carries the show with a clear and powerful soprano. Her rendition of the iconic ‘One Fine Day’ has wonderful projection and diction. There is a beautiful sorrow in her voice as she longs for her husband to return.”

“What this production has going for it is some incredibly strong vocal performances, particularly by Stephanie Edwards who, in this instance, was in the role of Butterfly. Emotive and powerful, Edwards hits every note with ease and is enjoyable to listen to.”

“…thanks to some strong performances from Stephanie Edwards… I found it compulsive viewing, especially the second act. As did the rest of the audience with Edwards receiving warm applause for her performance.”

“Stephanie Edwards’s soprano performance as Madam Butterfly is truly arresting … Extremely powerful moments in the performance include the most extended and exquisite love duet Puccini ever wrote, and Madam Butterfly’s longing for Pinkerton’s future homecoming…”
(Caroline Perret; playstosee.com)

“Stephanie Edwards as Butterfly is a treat. That girl acts her socks off and sings like a good ‘un, with grace and power.”
(Chris Parkinson; londonatlarge.com)

“Stephanie Edward’s Mimi…impressed vocally. They…embody their roles with equal conviction.”
(Graham Rogers; The Stage)
