Jessica Cox and Jennifer Miles – Cello & Piano

Eos began their musical partnership whilst studying at the Royal Academy of Music. Over the past fifteen years the cello and piano duo have delighted audiences worldwide with their passionate playing and vibrant presentation. In addition to their collaboration as Eos, Jessica and Jennifer enjoy rich and varied careers.

Jessica has performed for HRH The Queen and worked with eminent composer Harrison Birtwhistle as part of the Stanford String Quartet. She has played with the Northern Sinfonia, National Symphony Orchestra and in London’s West End. In the commercial world she has performed with Brian Wilson, Ellie Goulding, the Hoff and The Specials for TV and radio shows that include Jools Holland, Jonathan Ross and BBC 6 music. She has appeared on the main stage at Glastonbury and for the Olympics’ closing ceremony concert accompanying artists with her new electric-acoustic group ‘Q Strings’. Prior to her postgraduate studies at The Royal Academy of Music Jennifer gained a BA Hons degree in music from University of York. Subsequently she held the Meaker Fellowship at RAM and achieved a Masters of Performance (Guildhall Artist) with distinction.

Jennifer is highly sought after as an accompanist and has performed at prestigious venues that include Wigmore Hall, St.Martin’s-in-the-Field and the Millenium Stadium. She accompanied a Brass finalist in the televised BBC Young Musician of the Year competition and won the AESS Patricia Routledge National Song Competition pianist prize for English song.

Jennifer currently works as staff accompanist at GSMD, pianist at the Royal Academy of Dance and is Musical Director of the East Sussex School of
Performing Arts. As a soloist she has given a number of recitals both in the UK and for P&O cruise line.

It is this combination of musical influences that creates the unique sound of Eos.
